LaVon B. Schmollinger, age 87, passed away at 11:10 pm, Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born on December 1, 1923 in Monet, AR to the late Samuel and Essie (Mangrum) Burris.
LaVon was a Psychology Technician for Alton Mental Health in Alton for 20 years
She is survived by two daughters DeLola and spouse Kevin Appel of Eagle, ID, Deborah and spouse Terry Smith of Alton, IL, twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
LaVon was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters Jacquelin Waters and Natalie Hobbs, one sister Marguerite Mouser, two brothers Alonzo Hartgraves and Albert B. Hartgraves.
Memorial Visitation will be Tuesday October 18, 2011 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Memorials may be directed to American Diabetic Association.
