Laverne Anetta Kienle born August 22, 1926 in Granite City, Il, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024 at the age of 97. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Meta Bruns husbands Herbert Rapp and Harold Kienle.
Survivors include one son Gary Rapp and daughter-in-law Cyndee. A step-daughter Cheryl and Husband Larry. A granddaughter Whitney Carpenter and Husband Kurt. Great Grandsons Kade and Weston Carpenter.
Laverne enjoyed country line dancing and belonged to Concordia Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, Lutheran Layman League, Senior Social Club, AARP Club, and St. Louis Polka Club.
Visitation to be held August 11, 2024 from 2pm-5 p.m. at Thomas Saksa Funeral home in Granite City, IL, followed by service at 5pm conducted by Pastor Brian Feicho. A private burial will be held.
