Larry G. Pollard, 79, of Bethalto, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025.
He was born in Cottage Hills, IL, on October 22, 1945, the son of Robert Ray and Mildred L. (Siglar) Pollard. He married Constance "Connie" Jean Malone on July 10, 1964, in Meadowbrook. She preceded him in death on February 2, 2010.
Larry worked at Laclede Steel Mill for 30 + years. He also worked for Bunny Bread as a stocker, and Country Fair, Park-N-Shop, and Schnucks in the meat department. He enjoyed bowling on various leagues, golfing, barbecuing, and spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his children, Yvonne (Nelson) Allsbury of Sunrise Beach, MO, Larry (Jackie) Pollard of Alton, and Denny (Trisha) Pollard of Alton; and his grandchildren, Drew, Christian, Paige, and Ethan.
Along with his parents and wife, Connie, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jim Pollard, Don Pollard, Margie Paris, Patsy Hamilton, and Maxine Geisler.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, where funeral services will also be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 1 pm. Pastor Terry McKinzie will officiate.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens
