Larry Lee Morris, 83, passed Tuesday, March 21st 2023 having spent time surrounded by his family.
Born in Midland MI, he was the youngest son of Howard and Lucille Morris.
He was married for 60 years to the love of his life, Carol (nee: Carr). In addition to Carol, he is survived by his sister: Meta Brandes of Blair, NE; his brother: Ken Morris (wife Sigrid) of Solomon Islands, MD; his three sons: Brad (wife Ann) of Winter Garden, FL, Marc (wife Joan) of Alton, IL, Greg (wife Barbie) of Godfrey, IL; and his six grandchildren: Rebecca, Hannah, Jason, Noah, Justin and Bailey.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Clair (wife Lola).
He began his career as an Elementary School Teacher and was a life-long champion of education. The consummate salesman, he worked in many industries including foodservice, packaging, automotive, and home furnishings. A man of faith, he was dedicated to his family, his church, his community, and was generous to a fault.
Visitation and a Celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The United Methodist Church of Alton, or the 5A’s.
