Kristi Jo Morris, 61, of Bunker Hill, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at St. Louis University, after a long battle with lung disease. Those that knew her admired her strength and courage. Despite the physical obstacles that she faced, she never complained.

She was born in Tomah, Wisconsin, on October 28, 1963, the daughter of Garland and Lois (James) Bartels of East Alton. She married Mike Morris, in Wood River, on October 8, 1983, he survives in Bunker Hill.

Kristi worked as the office manager of WWCS, Inc. in Cottage Hills. She loved to travel, camp, and enjoyed the outdoors. Her true passions were the love for her granddaughter, and BBQ chicken.

Along with her parents, Garland and Lois; and her husband, Mike; she is survived by her sons, Joshua Morris of East Alton, and Jeremy (Abigail) Morris of Lake St. Louis, MO; granddaughter, Annabelle Grace Morris; brothers, Brian (Sheila) Bartels of Poplarville, Mississippi and their daughter, Alana, and Scott (Melissa) Bartels, and their children, Jacob Cobb and Lucas Cobb.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9:30 am until time of service at 11 am, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home of Bethalto. Pastor Terry McKinzie will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The American Lung Association and/or Ronald McDonald House.
