Born on February 16, 1997, in Jerseyville, Keaton was the cherished son of Brian and Kristi (Trask) Walkington. He grew up surrounded by love and support, both in the homes of his father and stepmother, SeAnn, and his mother and her companion, Jeremy Huff.
From a young age, Keaton developed a passion for woodworking, a craft he shared with his father. Their time spent creating projects together was a source of deep connection and pride. Keaton also had a bond just as special with his mother, who he loved with all his heart. The two shared countless meaningful moments that helped to shape him into the man he was.
Family was the cornerstone of Keaton’s life. He found joy in spending time with his loved ones, simply laughing over stories and enjoying each other’s company. He also loved going 4-wheeler riding with Jeremy, exploring the great outdoors together.
Keaton was employed as an apprentice with Carpenters Local 664 in Wood River, a role that brought him immense pride. He was honored to be a part of the union and found great joy in his work. His dedication to his craft and his strong work ethic were clear to all who knew him.
Outside of work, Keaton was known to be the ultimate Kansas City Chiefs fan. Whether he was decked out in his Chiefs gear, watching the game or debating stats with friends, Keaton’s enthusiasm for his team was unmatched. He lived and breathed Chief’s football and never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite players.
Keaton also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Copper, who was more than a pet – he was Keaton’s loyal sidekick and constant companion.
