Kathy was born on November 25, 1951, in Peoria, IL, and graduated from Roxana High School in 1969. She went on to have a long and fulfilling career at Owens Illinois Machine Manufacturing, where she worked for over 30 years before retiring. In her retirement, Kathy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time with her family, especially her two cherished grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Kathy had a special talent for finding the best deals on QVC and enjoyed sharing her discoveries with those she loved. She and her husband spent many happy hours together playing word games and watching their favorite shows.

Kathy was known by all as a kind-hearted and loving individual who spread warmth and joy wherever she went. Her smile, which never faded even in the hardest of times, will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dennis Kellim; her daughter, Ashley Kellim, and her fiancé, Steve “Skip” Moore; her son, Aaron Kellim, and his wife, Kristin Kellim; her beloved grandchildren Mikenley Snider and Bryson Snider; her siblings Cindi Lindley, Cheri Mayer (Michael Mayer), Terri Fanning (Tom Winski), Denise Sparks (Jamie Farmer-Sparks), Tami Jones-Treece, and Tom Jones (Lisa Rendleman); and her special friends Carol and Bob Benton and Rene Fite.

Visitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto, IL on Saturday September 21, 2024, at 10 a.m. The Celebration of Life will follow at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathy’s memory to The ALS Association or Tunnels to Towers, two causes close to her heart.

Kathy's life was a testament to love, kindness, and the importance of family. She will be remembered with love and fondness by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
