Kathleen Lucinda "Kathie" Schuette, 79, of Benld, IL, died at Staunton Health and Rehab Center on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 9:18 pm.
She was born March 16, 1946, in Chicago, IL to Cloyde "Jake" Spicer & Estella Neal Spicer. Kathleen married Leo Koniak on February 8, 1964 in Benld, IL and they later divorced. She married David H. Schuette on March 17, 2001 in Branson, MO.
Kathleen was a graduate of Staunton High School. She was a homemaker and manager of Koniak's. Kathleen enjoyed cards, bunco, traveling, cooking, bowling, making afghans and baby quilts and being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her spouse, David Schuette of Benld, IL, children, Randy Koniak of Benld, IL, Robin (D.J.) Morgan of Litchfield, IL, step daughter, Angie (Phil) Callovini of Edwardsville, IL, grandchildren, Stephen (Amy) Koniak of Geneva, IL, Sydney (Cody) Zippmann of Godfrey, IL, Mattison Morgan of Litchfield, IL, Devan Morgan of Litchfield, IL, Jordan Morgan of Litchfield, IL, step grandchildren, Austin Callovini, Madelyn Callovini, great-grandchildren, Sawyer Zippmann, Jensen Zippmann, Leo Koniak, Ella Koniak, Brooklyn Koniak, daughter in law, Tammy Koniak of Gillespie, IL, nieces, Linda (Dennis) Grammer of Litchfield, IL, Connie (Bob) Zenner of Staunton, IL.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Gail Holak, brother in law, Joe Holak and niece, Barbara Holak.
Friends may call on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
Funeral services are Friday, March 28, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld, IL. Burial will be at New Spangle Cemetery, Livingston, IL.
