June Yungck, 88, died at 9:28 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born June 28, 1924 in Alton, she was the daughter of John C. and Lydia (Cheesman) Wohnlich. On July 14, 1945 she married Edward L. Yungck in Alton. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2006. While her husband was in school, she worked for Owens Illinois Glass. She later helped at the family business, Yungck Drug Store in Alton. She enjoyed her card club and was the most sweetest, caring, and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her life. Surviving is a daughter, Nancy Barton (Gary) of Lone Tree, CO, a son, Dana J. Yungck (Bonnie) of Glen Carbon, six grandchildren, Heather Budy (Kyle), Julie Saenger (Steve), Jenna Yungck, Patrick Yungck, Lauren Jacobs (Jerome), and Ben Yungck, seven grandchildren, Ashley Budy, Brooke Budy, Logan Saenger, CeCe Saenger, Ellie Jacobs, Keller Jacobs, and Rylie Jacobs, and two sisters-in-law, Jackie Wohnlich of Alton, and JoAnn Singer of Kansas City, KS. She was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, James and Charlene Yungck, and a brother, Bill Wohnlich. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
