June Fahrig, 88, passed away at 9:30 pm Sunday July 29, 2012 at her residence.
She was born June 7, 1924 in Warrenton, MO, the daughter of Edward & Clara (Sprick) Edler. She married Joseph P. Fahrig on June 7, 1947 in West Alton, MO and he preceded her in death. June was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 4219 in Orchard Farm, MO, Senior Citizens of West Alton, MO, and loved quilting as a hobby.
She is survived by a daughter Patricia and her husband Charles Schroeder of St. Charles, MO a son Tommy Fahrig of West Alton, MO, two brothers Clifford and his wife Harriet Edler of West Alton, MO, Edward Edler of Alton, IL, one grandson Jeffrey R. and his wife Jill Schroeder of Frisco, TX two great-grandchildren Stella Rose and Logan Ryan Schroeder.
In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by two brothers Lester and Wilbert Edler.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 9 until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am Thursday August 2, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church in West Alton, MO with Father Robert Banken, officiating.
Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in West Alton, MO.
Memorials may be for Masses or to St. Charles Friends of Birthright.
