Julia Clark (formerly Yarborough), 85, passed away at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 1:25 p.m.  

She was born on October 25, 1938 in Winchester, Illinois to William and Isabel Yarborough (Cox) .

She married Donald Clark. He preceded her in death.

Julia worked in the restaurant industry as a waitress. She loved spending her free time with her friends and family.

Julia is survived by three of her children, Ricky (Billie) Whyers Sr. of Elsah, Lisa (Maurice) Parnell of Gravois Mills, Missouri, and Elizabeth "Liz" (Barry) Weaver of Norman, Oklahoma; one brother, Mike (Jackie) Yarborough of East Alton; eight grandchildren, Ricky (Amanda) Whyers Jr, David (Pam) Martin, Julie (Kevin) Magurany, Rebekah (Bobby) Whyers Herbert, Stevie (Jason) Ingold, Cory Whyers, Jackie (Paul) Rister, and Jacob Ehrhardt; as well as sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Cooper; five siblings, Shirley Blasa, Margie Tuttle, William "Butch" Yarborough, David Yarborough, and DonYarborough; and a granddaughter, Sarah Whyers.

Per Julia's wishes, cremation rights were accorded. Elias,Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey has been entrusted with arrangements.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the East Alton American Legion. Burial will take place at Upper Alton Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the 5A's Animal Shelter.
