It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jules Ragnetti, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 73. Jules was born on July 18, 1951, in Pawling, New York to Michael J. and Harriette A. Ragnetti, and lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a deep love for his family and country.

After graduating from high school, Jules answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served for 20 years. His military service took him around the world, and he held his work and his comrades in the highest regard. Jules was known for his unwavering commitment to his duties, his leadership, and his dedication to those who served alongside him.

Following his honorable retirement from the Army, Jules spent 11 years as a laborer, where his strong work ethic continued to shine. He approached every task with determination and pride, ensuring that his work was always of the highest standard.

Jules was a man of few words but deep convictions. He was someone who could always be relied upon, whether in his professional life or as a friend and family member. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and his ability to always put others before himself.

Jules is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ragnetti of O'Fallon, IL; three sons, Mike (Lynette) Ragnetti of Granite City, IL, Jason (Crissy) Ragnetti of Lebanon, IL, and Jared Ragnetti of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by three brothers, Mike (Marcia) Ragnetti of Springfield, VA, John Ragnetti of Pawling, NY, and James (Beth) Ragnetti of Hopewell, NY; as well as four stepchildren, Victor Estepp of O'Fallon, IL, Christine Shepard of O'Fallon, IL, Tisha (Billy) Alvis of Okawville, IL, and Carl Kinney of Okawville, IL. Jules was blessed with sixteen grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.

Visitation: 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O’Fallon, Ill.

Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O’Fallon, Ill. Burial with military honors will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.

Jules’ family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support during this time. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
