Judy Harlan

Judy Harlan, 69, lost her battle of ovarian cancer on Tuesday May 24, 2016 at 5:01pm at Barnes Jewish Hospital with her loving family by her side.
  She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Wilma Maguire.
  On May 23rd, 1970, she married Jackie Ray Harlan. They just had celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary. Judy retired from Federal Steel in East Alton. She was past president of the ladies auxiliary at the East Alton American Legion and also a lifetime member. She was member of the Piasa Indian Drum and Bugle Corps.
  She was the beloved mother of Devi Watson of Moro, Ill. and Jennifer and Rowland Novack of Brighton, Ill., Jay and Sandy Harlan of Meadowbrook Ill., and Kim and Mike Laster of Metropolis Ill. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, Megan Watson (fiancé Cory Henry) of Elk Grove Village, Ill., Zackary Watson of Moro, Ill., Payton Patterson of Wood River, Ill., Madlyn Novack of Bethalto, Ill., Mallory and Molly Novack of Brighton, Ill., Amber, Brooke, Brittany Harlan of Las Vegas, Nev., Kaydence and Kristina Harlan of Meadowbrook, and Jerimy, Jarad, and Kayla Laster of Metropolis; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dottie and Lee Graham of North Port, Fla.; nieces Julie and Todd Heinemann of Bethalto and Holly and Mike Bunch of Godfrey; nephews, Dustin Maguire of Edwardsville, Ill. and Derek Maguire of Kansas City, Kan.; and her brother, Michael Maguire of Edwardsville.
  Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her father and mother in law, Cecil and Madeline Harlan, a brother-in-law Donald Harlan, and nephew Christopher Lee Graham.
  Memorial visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, May 27 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights.

  Private inurnment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
