Judy Allison, 67 years young, passed away at 7:45 pm Monday, November 12, 2012 at Alton Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. 


The daughter of Dallas W. and Ruth H. (Moyers) Boswell, she was born December 4, 1944 in East Alton, IL.

She married Kenny Allison on March 7, 1964 in Alton.  He survives.

Her children and husband were the center of her world.  For Judy family came first and spending time with them gave her the most joy.  Shopping for a bargain, landscape design, planting flowers, collecting Hallmark Ornaments and listening to music were among her greatest interest, but being a spectator at her grandchildren’s sporting events brought her the most happiness.

In addition to her husband, Kenny, she is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Debbie Allison and PJ Petracek of St. Louis and her son, Steve and Farrah Allison of Bethalto; her grandchildren, Ryan and Ethan Allison; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Herb and Barb Boswell of Bethalto, George Boswell of WI and Steve Boswell of AZ and Diana and Larry Johnson of Rosewood Heights;  nieces and nephews, Kim, Chris and Tammy Boswell of CT, Dallas Boswell of Chicago, Tim Boswell of AZ and Scott Boswell of Bethalto, Kim Stark of IN and Tammy Stuby of East Alton and dear friends, Marilyn and Joe Miceli of GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto on Saturday, November 17, 2012 with Pastor Jeremy Robinson officiating.   

Inurnment will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
