Joseph F. Dona, 93, of Gillespie, IL, died at St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield, IL on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at 5:45 am.
He was born May 14, 1928, in Eagarville, IL to William Dona & Regina (Hoppe) Dona. He was a truck driver. Joseph was a member of the Gillespie Fire Department, SS Simon and Jude Church, and Teamsters.
He is survived by his daughter, Jan Dona of Gillespie; step-children, Penny Feeley of Gillespie, Nancy Harris (Dallas) of Gillespie and Amy Reid (Gary) of Gillespie; grandchildren, Rick Clark of Gillespie, Mike Clark (Jennifer) of Benld, and Tracy Paben (Luke) of Springfield; great-grandchildren, Cassie Montine, Dray Clark, Loralei Clark, Dawson Clark, Alex Clark, and Michael Clark; 12 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Joe Dona (Pat) of Williamsburg, Virginia.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, spouses, Betty Stinnett Dona and Eloise Weller Dona, daughters, Susan Clark and Jody Dona, step-son, Kelly Don Heyen, brother, William Dona, sisters, Marie Gnoth, Madeline Dona.
Friends may call on Friday, February 11, 2022, at SS Simon & Jude Church, Gillespie from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, February 11, 2022, at SS Simon & Jude Church, Gillespie at 11:30 am. The burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie, IL.
