Jordan Christopher Klope, 15, passed away at 11:47 am, Sunday, December 23, 2012. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him for his smile and his sense of humor. Never afraid of hard work, he was always willing to lend a hand.
He was born in Alton, IL on February 18, 1997 the son of the Christopher Allen and Sonja Kuhn Klope.
Jordan was a sophomore at Alton High School. He was a member of the Alton-Wood River Sportsmen’s Club Youth Trap Team and played Alton Redbird Hockey. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved his dog “Roux”.
He is survived by his parents and sister Madison; grandparents, Andy and Marilyn Kuhn of Godfrey, IL and L. Allen and Linda Klope of Alton, IL; aunts and uncles, Kathryn Warren, Quinton Van Tonder, Joe Kuhn, Christa (Sean) Copple and Pete (Lori) Kuhn and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be from 3 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL.
Funeral service will be at 10 am, Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Godfrey, IL with Pastor Jerry MeCaskey officiating.
Memorials may be made to Evangelical United Church of Christ, Ducks Unlimited and Alton-Wood River Sportsmen’s Club Youth Trap Team.
