John K. Revenburgh of Highland, IL, entered eternal rest on February 18, 2025.
He was born on October 1, 1947, in Alton, IL and attended Roxana schools where he graduated in 1965.
John was a veteran of the Vietnam War Era and was a leader of the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles Signal Corp. He acquired multiple service medals from his time in the Army.
After the service, he attended Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, majoring in Business Administration. He worked at the Veteran’s Service Center in Alton, IL as a counselor to veterans setting up the benefits due to them for their services to our country.
He was a leader with the Grantfork 4-H Club, involved with horsemanship and automotive instruction with the young members. He worked as a Quality Assurance Coordinator at Cooper B-Line Systems in Highland for 25 years. John also worked as a shuttle driver and fueler for Madison County Transit in Granite City for 15 years before retirement.
Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Mary, whom he married on June 8, 1972; a brother, Jerry (Reva) Revenburgh of Little Rock, AR; and a niece, Erin, of St. Louis, MO, as well as numerous cousins.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Clay and Rosalie (nee Bienemann) Revenburgh, and many brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; aunts and uncles.
As per John’s request, please celebrate his life with a toast to the heavens, a hug and kiss for your family and friends and remember all the wonderful times you shared with him in your life.
