John Grizzle

John Lester Grizzle, 60, of Jerseyville, died at 8:38 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011 in the emergency room at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville.He was born in Carrollton on Aug. 4, 1951 one of three sons born to Ralph & Grace Virginia (Mundy) Grizzle.John grew up in the Kane area, and had worked at Principia College in Elsah, and most recently had been employed as a bartender at Danny's Tavern in Jerseyville.Surviving are his father, Ralph Grizzle of Hardin; a daughter & son in law, Lanee & David Edwards of Jerseyville; two grandchildren, Britnney & Karlie; two brothers, Ralph Eugene "Gene" Grizzle of Franklin and Chester "Louie" Grizzle of Jerseyville.He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Virginia (Mundy) Stone; and an infant daughter, Jamie Ann Grizzle in 1974.Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, with graveside services to be conducted at 11:15 a.m., Thursay at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.Memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home
