John D. “J.D.” Bugg, 58, passed away unexpectedly at 5:58 pm Saturday September 22, 2012 at his home.
He was born on December 16, 1953 in Wood River, IL, the son of W.C. and Fayette (Johnson) Bugg.
He married Linda S. Harmon on August 18, 1990 at the East Alton Methodist Church. She survives.
John was a machinist for Olin Corporation for over 20 years retiring in 2012. He attended Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto. He enjoyed Nascar Racing and Kentucky Basketball, sports and watching his boy’s play sports. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife and his mother of Springfield, IL, he is survived by three sons, Clint Bugg of Georgia and Ethan and Jared of Bethalto; two grandchildren, Brodi and Branson; a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Tom McPherson of Marion, IL and their daughter and her spouse, Gena and Adnon; his mother and father-in-law, Jim and JoAnn Harmon of Bethalto; his brothers-in-law and their spouses, Jim and Elise Harmon of Bethalto, Mike Harmon of Bethalto, Ken and Beckie Harmon of East Alton and Ron and Beth Harmon of St. Charles, MO and several other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 4 until services at 7 pm Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Father Tom Liebler officiating.
Burial will be private at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the family for the boy’s college fund at First National Bank.
