Joannie Thiemann, 52, passed away at 6:42pm on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Alton Nursing and Rehab. She was born on December 14, 1959, in Alton, Illinois the daughter of the late James and Anna (Hill) Aslone. Survivors include one son: Shane Wall of Alton, an expectant grandchild, her faithful canine companion: Zuel, two sisters and brothers in law: her twin sister, Jeannie and George Buttry of East Alton, Judy and Michael Craig of Godfrey, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was formerly employed in various capacities at Wang Cardiology in Rosewood Heights. She loved flowers, gardening, decorating her yard, and landscaping. She was a huge Aerosmith Fan. She helped raise money for the American Cancer Society and was a big supporter of the 5A's.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: James and John.
In celebration of her life, graveside services will be held at 10am on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Upper Alton Cemetery.
