Joann Rahn, 81, passed away 1 am, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
Born in Hartford on February 9, 1937, she was the daughter of Ira Aaron and Ruby Edith (Blair) Kirkpatrick.
She had been a Supervisor at the J.C. Penny Outlet Store and previously been employed at Owens-IL Glass.
Joann enjoyed Harmon's Auctions and Bluegrass music.
Surviving are a son, Jim (Jenny) Rahn; daughters, Dana Kirkpatrick, Belinda (David) Douglas, Jada Rahn; grandchildren, Chelsea (Bill) Kalish, Ruby Rahn, Jonathon Rahn, Jeniffer (Baker) Ulrich, Jarad (Veronica) Baker, Jamie (Tim) Minner; great grandchildren, Sam and Max Kalish, Jayden and Adrianna Ulrich, Kaylie, Kaleb and Kanin Baker, Evan, Taylor and McKenzie Minner; sister, Darlene Baugh; sister-in-law, Virginia Kirkpatrick; brother-in-law, Matt Telkamp; longtime partner, Lee Smith; and "Powder", her hairy baby.
Preceding in death were her parents; grandson, Brandon Ulrich; brother, Ned Kirkpatrick; and sisters, Wanda Newlun, Edith Telkamp, Kathryn Landreth, Betty Grover and Norma sanders.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be from 6 until time of service at 7 pm, Tuesday, September 11 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor David Schultz will officiate.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wood River.
