Jerry R. Windmiller, 73, passed away on Saturday March 3, 2012 at home with his family by his side.
He was born on Sept. 21, 1938 in Alton, IL the son of Everett & Eunice (Jouett) Windmiller.
He married Ruth (Brangenberg) on February 14, 1982 at Concordia Lutheran Church.
He served his country in the Army and then went to work at Laclede Steel Company as a buyer of raw material.
In addition to his wife, Ruth Windmiller, he is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert & Medge Windmiller of Tuba City, AZ and Jeffrey & Tanya Windmiller of St. Louis, Mo; a daughter and her fiance’ Kristin Windmiller and Thor Lindstrom of Godfrey; four grandchildren, Katie Droste, Amanda Lindstrom, and Joey & Olivia. Windmiller, a sister-in-law, Jean Windmiller of Godfrey and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Everett Ralph Windmiller and Hal Ray & Marlene Windmiller.
In celebration of his life, a memorial visitation will be from 5 pm until time of funeral services at 7 pm Thursday March 8, 2012 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or BJC Hospice.
