Jerry Allan Farmer, 73 of Cabool, MO died on April 27, 2022, at the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, MO.
He was born February 19, 1949, in Alton, Illinois the son of John Allan and Lela Mae (Olston) Farmer. After High School graduation Jerry was employed at Owens-Illinois Glassworks in Alton, Illinois. There he met Donna Marie Walls and they were married on Oct 5, 1968, at her parents' farm in Cabool, Mo. Their daughter, Jill Carolynn was adopted as an infant in 1979.
Jerry was drafted into the U.S. Army on March 7, 1969, and was stationed at Ft Lewis, Washington, and Ft. Hood, Texas. Following his time in the military, Jerry worked as a policeman for the city of Alton, Illinois. Jerry and his family moved from Alton to Cabool, Missouri in the early 1980s. Jerry was a truck driver and also worked in maintenance.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John Allan and Lela Mae Farmer.
He is survived by his wife, daughter, and grandson, Gregory Riley. Also by his brother Michael Farmer (Charles Higgenbotham) of Wood River, Ill: sister-in-law, Carolyn Brandt and husband, Garry; brothers-in-law, Keith Walls, LeRoy Walls and wife, Paula and Glen Walls and wife, Cleea all of Cabool, MO; as well as friends and church family.
