Jerold L. Jouett, 93, died at 3:05 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2011 at Blu-Fountain Manor in Godfrey. 

Born July 27, 1917 in White Hall, IL, he was the son of Rueben and Ethel (Trout) Jouett.  Mr. Jouett served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Calcutta.  He retired from Owens-Illinois Glass in Godfrey as a master machinist after 45 years of service and was a member of the former First Baptist Church of Alton.  While at Blu-Fountain Manor he served as resident’s council president.  On January 1, 1942 in Alton, he married the former Dorothy Twesten.  She preceded him in death on December 9, 2001. 

Surviving is a daughter, Roberta Mozier of Alton.  He was preceded in death by his wife and a son-in-law, Harold Mozier. 

Reverend Steve Rice officiated private graveside services at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. 

Memorials may be made to the 5A’s Animal Shelter.
