Jeffrey Wayne Pride, 44, passed away unexpectedly at 7:01 am Wednesday, May 7, 2014.
He was born January 8, 1970 in Olney, IL, the son of Wayne Pride and Martha Longnecker-Richards.
Jeff was a machine operator at Kraft Foods. He was a member of the Bootlegger’s Motorcycle Club and was in a pool league. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lacey and Cory Heineman of Bethalto; a son, Shane Pride of South Roxana; two grandchildren, Layla Heineman and Austin Elliott; his father, Wayne Pride of Wood River; his mother and stepfather, Martha and Lesley Richards of Mt. Carmel, IL; his grandmother, Geneva Longnecker of Mt. Carmel, IL; four half brothers, Tim Richards, Jeremy Pride, Zach Sconce and Larry Pride; a half sister, Angela and her husband William Greenlee; his girlfriend, Teresa Rea and her children and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Harold Longnecker, his grandparents, Wayne and Minnie Pride.
Visitation will be from 3 pm to 7 pm on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Bethalto, followed by a dinner at the church.
A second visitation will be from 3 pm to 6 pm on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Short Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel, IL.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Wagner Cemetery in Chancey, IL with Pastor Dave Cogdill officiating.
Memorials may be made to the family.
