Jeffrey B. Laird, 60, passed away unexpectedly at 11:53 am, Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Alton Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born in Toledo, OH on May 8, 1954, the son of the late Lucian “Bud” and Marie (Folmer) Laird.
He is survived by his sister, Lucia Marie Norris of Godfrey; two nephews, David Norris of Alton and Stephen (Melissa) Norris of Fairfield, OH; one niece, Sarah (Jim) Crause of Godfrey; one great niece, Charlotte Crause, and three great nephews, Michael Baum, Jack and Sam Norris.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Tom Norris.
A private graveside service was held at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey where Reverend Dale Jackson officiated.
