Jean F. Thomae, 67, died at 6:32 a.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born December 25, 1942 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of the late Edward and Bernice (Briete) Lotte.
On April 4, 1964 in St. Louis, MO she married Robert N. Thomae and he survives. She graduated from Lutheran School of Nursing in St. Louis, MO. She retired in 1999 from Beverly Farms in Godfrey where she worked as a registered nurse. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Godfrey. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter: Sue and her husband Kenneth Laughlin of Staunton, IL. One son: David and his wife Laura Thomae of Godfrey. Three grandchildren: Spencer Laughlin, Morgan Laughlin and Jessica Cook. One great grandchild: Logan Belcher. One sister: Carol Wood and her husband Ricky Joe of Houston, TX.
Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, Novermber 7, 2010 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday November 8, 2010 at Faith Lutheran Church in Godfrey with the Reverend Kelly Mitteis to officiate.
Burial will be at St. Denis Cemetery in Shipman, IL.
Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
