Jason Kraushaar

Jason Aaron Kraushaar, 63, of Brighton, died October 10, 2018, at Barnes Hospital.

He was born in Alton on September 7, 1955, to Clifford and Marilyn (Baker) Kraushaar. Jason attended Jersey Community High School, then went into the Army at 19 years old, at one point being stationed in Germany. He currently was working for Grafton Material Services as a truck driver.

He is survived by his parents, and siblings Mark Kraushaar, Kim Dixon, Evelyn Chevally, Charles (Linda) Kraushaar, Melissa (James) Schell, Hope (Michael) Davenport, 20 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and great nephews. Jason also is survived by his loving companion of over 20 years, Kathy Murray, and her children and families, Brian (Michelle) Murray, Brayden and Nicholas, and Tim (Marisa) Murray, Nora, Abigail and Charles. He will be missed by his little darling dog, Sadie. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Evelyn Young-Kraushaar, brother in law Melvin Dixon, brother in law Larry Chevalley and niece Jessica Chevalley, and his companion's parents, Paul & Delores Maul.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 14, from 1-4 p.m. at Alexander and Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville, IL. Funeral will be held on Monday, October 15, at 10 a.m. at Alexander and Gubser Funeral Home. Pastor Nathan Lueker will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home. Burial will be at Noble Cemetery with Military Rites by Jerseyville American Legion Post #492.
