Janice Kern

Janice Marie Kern, 67, of Gillespie, IL, died at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at 6:34 pm.  She was born June 20, 1955, to William E Hopper & Shirley Jean Logsdon Hopper.  She was a bookkeeper.  Janice adored Bichon dogs.  She is survived by her children, Timothy Clotfelter, II of Gillespie, IL, Cole Kern of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, Demi, Gabe, siblings, Nancy Hopper of Gillespie, IL, William (Jeana) Hopper Jr. of Arkansas, Stephen (Terrie) Bloomfield of Mt Olive, IL, several step-siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.  Janice was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Rose Hopper.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie, IL from 3 pm - 5 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023.  Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family.  Anyone wishing to send an online condolence may do so at www.kravanyafuneral.com.
