Janice Miller

Janice L. Miller, 80, passed away at 12:28am on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Barnes – Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.  She was born on May 3, 1938, in Ashley, Illinois, the daughter of the late Fred and Eula (Baldridge) Schultz.  Survivors include three daughters and two sons in law: Tammy and Charlie Coffey of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Judy and Jimmie Cooper of South Roxana, Illinois, Beverly West and her companion: Paul Reed of Rosewood Heights, four grandchildren and their spouses: Sara and Jason Rosen, Lindsey and Ben Hammond, Zachary Johnson, Nick and Danielle West, seven great grandchildren, two sisters: Leora Price of Benton, Illinois, Imogene Walker of Columbia, Missouri, one brother: Fred Schultz, Jr. of Tamaroa, Illinois, her former son in law: Dave West, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

A homemaker, Janice was a woman of many talents.  She enjoyed woodworking, sewing, crafting, and painting.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wood River.  She enjoyed spending time with her bestie Parker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son: Thomas Johnson, one grandson: Scott Johnson, two sisters: Helen and Velma, and two brothers: Charles and Irvin.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on Monday, August 20, 2018, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at the funeral home.  Pastor Joel Lohr will officiate.  Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana. 

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
