Janice Kay Yates, 74, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 2:05 a.m. Sat. Feb. 6, 2021 at SSM St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born Dec. 29, 1946, in Granite City to the late Katherine (Converse) Berosky and Thomas Feeney.
Janice married Robert Yates on Nov. 3, 1976, in Granite City. He preceded her in death May 21, 2007.
She had been a nurse aid for many years retiring in 2020 and had worked in several area nursing homes and home health care.
Survivors include a daughter: Robin DeShasier; a son: Robert 'Bobby' (Sarah Powell) Yates all of Granite City; 4 grandchildren: Nathan and Zachary DeShasier and Lucas and Payton Powell; and a great-grandson: Maxwell Thomas DeShasier.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
