Janet L. Tindall, 91, passed away at 8:58 am on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 in Granite City, Illinois. 

She was born on July 9, 1933 in Nebo, Illinois to Earnest and Marie (Turnbaugh) Lenington.

She married David T. Tindall on June 11, 1955 in Hartford, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2019.

Janet worked as a secretary at Olin Corporation where she met her beloved husband and then went on to be a homemaker and raise her children. She was previously a member of the Red Hat Society and a long-time member of the Prince Road Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, painting, cooking, playing guitar, singing, traveling and being around her grand-babies.

Janet is survived by her children, Lynn (Arthur) Jackson of Glen Carbon, David Tindall of East Alton, and Kevin Tindall of Brighton; sister, Bernice Rands; grandchildren, Alexis, Andrea, Meghann, Matthew, Tiffany, Kala and Caleb; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Mark, Skylyn, Lacie, Kingston, Jay, Gage, Tylor, Isabelle, Kane, Garrett, Emma and Alexandria; great-great-grandchildren, Lyla Grace, Osiasis and Torin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, Janet was preceded in death by her son, Steven Tindall; daughter, Debra Tucker; sisters, Doris Depper and Lucerne Healey; and brothers, Lyndell Lenington and Earnest Lenington.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, Illinois.

Burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
