Janet S. Teakert passed on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Alhambra Rehab and Health Care.
She was born April 16, 1944. She was adopted by Charlotte and Alfred Buhs. Janet married Terry Teakert on August 26, 1966.
She is survived by her husband, son, Greg (Brenda) Teakert, granddaughters, Meredith and Jenna in Chesterfield, MO, brother in law and sister in law, James and Sandra Pennington of Plainfield, IN, nieces and nephews.
Janet taught school at Roxana Junior High where she taught English and Speech for 28 years and then she was the Junior High Librarian for 10 years. She loved teaching and loved her students.
There will be no visitation or services per her wishes. She will be cremated and buried in Bunker Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Roxana Junior High Library or Donor's Choice. Kravanya Funeral Home is in charge.
