Janet Brown

Janet F. Brown, 81, of Gillespie, IL, died at her residence on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 12:49 pm.  She was born November 9, 1941, in Brighton, IL to Lester Brown & Wilmeth Carr Brown.  She was a retired clerk for Walmart.  Janet enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids.  She also enjoyed camping.  She is survived by her children, Teena (Jim) Pratt Lafferty of Gillespie, IL, Patti (Dale) Rather of Bunker Hill, IL, Suzy Novak of Gillespie, IL, Russell (Stephanie) Pratt III of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, Dakota Bunnell, Noah Robertson, Bianca Royer, Joseph Rather, Alexander Rather, Kyle Rather, Tabitha Pratt, Ricky Morris, Joseph Novak, Michael Pratt, Ciera Pratt, great-grandchildren, Gage, Talyn, Cassidy, Mason, Eli, Thea, Cameron, Kaydents, Kiylee, Letti, Denver, Keenan, Ky'rah, siblings, Mary Seiwiert of Mendota, IL, Ruth Vincent of Wilsonville, IL, Irene Nessl of Litchfield, IL, Elaine Harvill of Wilsonville, IL, John Brown of Gillespie, IL.  Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Russell Pratt, Jr, grandchildren, Troy Whitlow, Adam Rather, and Brian Rather, sister, Janey, brothers, Alfred, Jack, and Bob.  A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at 1 pm at the Gillespie Civic Center.  Memorials are suggested to Ronald McDonald House.  Anyone wishing to send an online condolence may do so at www.kravanyafuneral.com.
