Janet C. Boyle, 85, formerly of Bethalto, passed away at 7:35 pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Bria of Wood River.
She was born on September 29, 1939, in Grafton, Illinois, the daughter of the late Thomas and Evelyn (Clanney) Ennis. She married Jess E. Boyle on September 5, 1958, in Alton, and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2009.
Survivors include a daughter: Jill Boyle of Wood River, three sisters and a brother in law: Lois and Jim Gutmann of Alton, Shirley Krausharr of East Alton, Anita Sanders of Rosewood Heights, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Janet was formerly employed as a clerk at Farm Fresh in Roxana.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother: Thomas Ennis, Jr and a sister: Mary Bain.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Burial will follow at Scenic Hill Cemetery in Grafton.
