James “River Jim” Fatke, passed away at 12:35pm, Monday, July 9, 2012 at his home in Alton.
He was born on October 7, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Arnold and Verna (Doerr) Fatke.
At one time he was a licensed x-ray technician. Jim was retired from Georgia Pacific.
Surviving are a nephew, Jim Dodd and his wife, Pat; a niece, Kim Martchink and her husband, Brian; a sister-in-law, Jane Fatke.
His sister, Gloria Dodd, a brother, Bob Fatke and a nephew, Clay Fatke all preceded him in death.
Special thanks to his thoughtful, kind and generous neighbors and health care providers.
Graveside services will be at 10 am, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
Memorials may be directed to any animal shelter.
