James Richard Sauerwein, 76, of Glen Carbon, IL, died at his residence on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 8:41 am.
He was born June 26, 1944, in Bunker Hill, IL to John Sauerwein & Ruth (Zarges) Sauerwein. He married Judith Faye (Stille) Sauerwein.
He was retired after having worked in the production line for Beall Manufacturing. James was a member of the Eden Church of Edwardsville, IL.
He is survived by his spouse, Judith Sauerwein of Glen Carbon, IL, children, Emily (Matthew) Thouvenot of Glen Carbon, IL, Brian Sauerwein of Edwardsville, IL, grandchildren, Brian Sauerwein, Jr., Ava Sauerwein, Kolten Sauerwein, siblings, Victor (Charlene) Sauerwein of Bunker Hill, IL and Wilma (Dick) Stinnett of Alton, IL.
James was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Eldon Sauerwein, Irvin Sauerwein, sisters, Sylvia Simpson and Bernice Mortimer.
Friends may call on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Kravanya Funeral Home, Bunker Hill, IL from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
Funeral services are Friday, March 5, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Kravanya Funeral Home, Bunker Hill, IL.
Burial will be at Immanuel United Church of Christ Cemetery, Hamel, IL.
COVID 19 guidelines will be followed including mandatory masks.
