James W. McDuffy, 53, of Freeburg, IL, born Monday, February 22, 1971, in Belleville, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at his residence in Freeburg, IL. James lived a life full of singing, dancing, and love for those closest to him.
A self-employed electrician, James was known for his hard work, skill, and unwavering commitment to his craft. Beyond his profession, he found joy in golf his pool league, and being a coordinator of the annual washer tournament at the Freeburg Homecoming, where he formed lasting friendships and cherished many memories.
Earlier this year, James faced the profound loss of his beloved mother, Linda Walcher, who proceeded him in death. James was also proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Virginia McDuffy, maternal grandmother, Carolyn Stroupe, and maternal grandfather, William Wall.
