James M. Junior Blair, Jr., 63, passed away at 10:22pm on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Anderson Hospital. He was born on August 28, 1957, in Wood River, the son of the late James M. and Sara N. (Wiseman) Blair.
He married the former Theresa Mees on February 21, 2014, in Bethalto and she survives. Other survivors include three step daughters: Tina Kitchell of Roxana, Starr White and her fiancé: Ryan Walker of Roxana, Jennifer Wilkiewicz and her companion: Keith Phillips of East Alton, a step son: Devon King of St. Louis, Missouri, eight grandchildren: Alexis, Kayla, Branden, Braeden, Ashton, Kinlee, Zack, T.J., a sister and brother in law: Kimmy and James Berry of Wood River, a brother: William Blair and his companion: Kim Hawkins of Wood River, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Junior started working at the age of thirteen at Clark Boat and Motor in East Alton. He then went to work at Cope Marine and was employed at Trickey's Towing in Wood River as a tow truck driver. He loved riding his motorcycle, was a member of the Hog Chapter, ABATE, and the Dream Weavers Motorcycle Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson: William White.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial services will be held at a later date when the Covid 19 restrictions are eased.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
