James Foster

James (Jimmy) Hunter Foster, 55, of Bethalto passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at his residence.

Jimmy was born on April 16, 1965, in Hillsboro, IL, the son of Raymond and Eleanor (Carlock) Foster. He married Roxanne Long in Godfrey, IL on November 10, 1990. 

He worked at Olin Corporation as a pipefitter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling and spending time with his grandson and family.

Along with his wife Roxanne, he is survived by two daughters, Amber (Phil) Kraus of Edwardsville and Ariel Foster of Alton; siblings, Danny (Monica) Foster, Diane (Michael) Morgan, Cindy McPherson, Deborah Mathon, Robin (Clyde) Hentz, Christina Foster and Richard (Chris) Kramer; a grandson, Oliver Kraus; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Lupe and Emmett Covey; a brother, Timothy; a grandson, Emmett; and a brother-in-law, Gary Mathon.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only 10 people will be allowed in the building at a time. Visitation will be from 1 pm until 5 pm on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto where funeral service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 9:30 am. Mindi Foster will officiate. A private burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
