James H. "Jim" Klug, 81, passed away 1:47 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Blu-Fountain Manor in Godfrey.
Born in Granite City on August 30, 1932, he was the son of Jacob and Juanita (East) Klug.
He had been a heavy equpitment operator for Illinos Power.
On August 6, 1950 in Granite City, he married the former Verna Cochran. She survives.
Surviving also are two sons, Jim (Janice) Klug of Brighton, Randy (Marsha) Klug of Alton; three daughters, Diane (Jim) Bailey of Florissant, MO, Judy (Dennis) Maupin and Donna (mike) Wendle all of Alton11 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
His parents and a sister, Vera Friedel preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, February 10 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Disease Foundation.
