James Farrell Clary, 93, died at 4:50 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2020 at Cedarhurst of Godfrey. Born May 13, 1927 in Harford, IL, he was the son of Edwin and Margaret (Graham) Clary. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a foreman pipefitter for Amoco. In 1961 he married the former Norma Bland in Rosedale, IL. She preceded him in death. Surviving is a daughter, Jamie Stanley (Melvin) of Port Orange, FL, three sons, Guy Clary (Amy) of Bethalto, Craig Clary (Julie) of Eatonton, GA, and Bill Jones (Wanda) of Alton, nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Frances Hindman of Kelso, WA. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Foutch and Mary Ann Stanton. Graveside services for immediate family will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Reverend Roy Rhodes will officiate.
