Iola “Oley” A. Hausman, 78, passed away at 1 am on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Bethalto Care Center in Bethalto.
She was born on November 27, 1931 in Alton, IL, the daughter of Frank and Lottie (Crisfield) Turner.
Iola was married to the father of her children Gerald Feldman who preceded her in death and later married Charlie Hausman who passed away in 1993.
She was a homemaker most of her life but had previously worked at the Dairy Palace in Bethalto, and the Olin Corporation in East Alton.
She is survived by one daughter, Tonya Grossheim and her husband Mark of East Alton; two grandsons, Jason Cairns of Brighton and Brad McGaughey of Bethalto; two great granddaughters; Taylor Cairns, and Kylie Johnston, and one great grandson Justin Crowell, and one step-son Harry Homan. She also leaves behind her dearest friend’s; Oleta Wieneke, Norma Redman and Kathy Wienman, and one sister-in-law Elaine Turner of Alton, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Gerald Wayne Feldman, four brother’s, Carl Turner, Floyd Turner, Orville Turner, and Jack Turner in infancy, and sisters, Virginia Warren, and Eleanor Hart.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, October 21, at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, where Funeral services will be conducted at 10am on Friday, October 22, 2010 with the Rev. Andre Dobson officiating.
Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton.
