Helen M. Laschober, 88, passed away at 9:40 am Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Villa Rose Retirement Home.
She was born on March 26, 1922 in Jerseyville, the daughter George W. & Susan Elizabeth (Fulton) Green.
She married Adolph "Albert" Laschober on October 14, 1978 at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Ann, MO. He survives.
She graduated from Jerseyville Community High School in 1939. She was a bookkeeper for Kribs Ford City and for Quality Pontiac for many years; she enjoyed square dancing, traveling, crossword puzzles and crocheting.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by three sons and daughters-in-law and one daughter and son-in-law, Thomas & Mary Jett of Hannibal, MO, Everett "Lou" & Barbara Jett of Bethalto, Cindy & Richard Zumwalt of Jerseyville and Andrew & JoAnna Jett of Fort Worth, TX; her step children, Barbara Harper and Gene Laschober both of St. Louis, MO, Debbie & Bill Thompson of Pevely, MO and Donna Reedy of Ferguson, MO; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Helen Marie Jett, and her siblings, Everett Green, Frances Wood, George W. Green and Leah Bush.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral services will be at 10 am on Saturday, July 10, 2010 with Pastor Daniel Decker officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Research.
