Helen Elizabeth Tucker Crull, 75, died at 2:28 p.m., Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville, Illinois.She was born in Alton, Illinois on September 9, 1945 the daughter of Robert John and Mary Lovina (Bechtold) Rue. Her mother died during childbirth, and she was lovingly raised by her father and her sister, Helen.She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jerseyville, and her working career was spent at Owens-Illinois Glass Manufacturing in Alton and Beverly Farms in Godfrey.She married Reginald Tucker on February 20, 1965 in Jerseyville, and they shared 16 years together before his death of a sudden heart attack on September 24, 1981. She then married Plowman Laverne Crull on July 16, 1985 at the First Assembly of God in Jerseyville, and they were blessed with 22 years of marriage before his death on October 31, 2007.She is survived by her loving companion, Joel Cox of Jerseyville; seven step children and their spouses, Marilyn and Robert Prettyman of Brighton, Karen Sue and Kenneth Skipper of Gladewater, Texas, Laverne and Kathy Crull of Carrollton, Patricia and Dennis Croxford of Van Buren, Arkansas, Richard Crull of Grafton, Kenneth and Patty Crull of Carrollton, and Betty Nairn of Alton; numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Rue of Berryville, Arkansas; and four sisters, Mary Rue of Jerseyville, Janis Butler of East Alton, Lissa Swan of Dow and Terrill Woolsey of Laguna Beach, California.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother in-law, Helen and Winfred Baugh; a son in-law, Jerry Nairn; a step grandson, Matthew Crull; a step brother, Gerald "Jerry" Chapman; and her step mother, Geraldine (Wineland) Rue.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday until time of funeral services at 12 noon at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.All CDC guidelines will be followed and masks must be worn.Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Jerseyville.Memories may be shared at www.crawfordfunerals.com.
