Helen Charlene Retzer, 88, passed away at 4:48 pm on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton.
She was born in Fayette County, IL on June 11, 1922, the daughter of Walter and Viola (Hoffman) Federman.
She married Homer McMillan in 1940 he passed away in 1971, she then married Frank Retzer in 1973 and he passed away in 1994.
Helen is survived by two daughters Betty Noble of Wood River, Marcella Markle of Aguagna, CA, two grandchildren Tammy and her spouse Jr. Halcom of Brighton, Jennifer and her spouse Andrew Hernandez of Aguanga, CA and three great grandchildren Derrek, Danielle and DeAnna Halcom of Brighton and one sister Freda White of Jerseyville..
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and three sisters Lavon Keller, Virginia Smith and Marion Wood.
Per her wishes there will be no services and cremation rites will be accorded.
