Hazel R. Isringhausen, 96, died at 9:35 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2013 at the Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on March 10, 1917, in Starkweather, North Dakota, and was the daughter of the late Lloyd Elmer & Esther C. (Bradley) Green.
Hazel was a loyal member of the Peace United Church of Christ in Jerseyville, as well as the Calhoun Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a charter member of the Jerseyville Women of the Moose.
She first married Wayne C. Parish on Feb. 15, 1934, and together they were the parents of two sons, and shared 24 years of marriage before his death on Jan. 5, 1958. She the married Eldon L. Nave and they shared 13 years before his death.
On June 7, 1975 at the Peace United Church of Christ, she married Clyde Isringhausen, and they shared 24 years together before his death on Jan, 29, 2000.
Surviving are two sons and daughters in law who will miss her dearly, William L. & Louise Parish Sr. of Grafton and Wayne E. & Martha Jean Parish of Dow; four grandchildren & their spouses, Michael Parish of Grafton, Angela Parish, and her partner, Chris of Grafton, Todd & Cindy Parish of Jerseyville, and Troy Parish of Dow; great grandchildren & their spouses, Jamie & Danny Hartman of Jerseyville, Sara & Erik Petersen of Seattle, Wa., Jacquelyn "Jackie" Parish of Seattle, Wa., Brody Parish and Dawson Petrea both of Grafton, Gabriel, Abbigail, Chole and Quinn Parish all of Jerseyville; great great grandchildren, Barrett, James & Chloe Hartman of Jerseyville;a sister, Flora Clark of Gillespie; and a brother & sister in law, Robert & Vonita Green of Jerseyville.
Hazel is also survived by numerous step children, including Virgil & Ada Isringhausen of McLean, Jean Woodson of Godfrey; and a step daughter in law, Mary Helen Isringhausen of Carrollton along with their families; and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Joann Davis of Bethalto.
In addition to her parents and spouses, she was preceded in death by a beloved grandson, William Lee "Bill" Parish Jr.; a step son Fred Isringhausen; a sister, Blanche Cummings; a brother & sister in law, Lloyd & Phyllis Green; and a brother in law, Donald Clark.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Theodore Engelsdorfer will officiate.
Burial will be alongside her first husband at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be given to the Peace United Church of Christ in Jerseyville.
