Hazel I. Graham, age 87, went to be with the Lord at 7:44 pm on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
She was born on January 9, 1924 in Belleville, Illinois, the daughter of the late William Y. & Norma Ann (Jones) Skelton.
She married Warren A. Graham on November 9, 1945. He passed away in December 11, 1972.
Hazel was employed at the YWCA as a receptionist for 12 years retiring in 1992. She enjoyed being with her family and friends.
She is survived by four children and their spouses; Becky D. Townsend of Wood River, Larry A. & Dorothy Graham of St. Charles, MO, Danny R & Marge Graham of Alton and Rose A. Graham of East Alton; seven grandchildren, Alexandra Townsend, Daniel Townsend, Jennifer Copeland, Brooke Garner, Allen Graham, Tiffany Sanders and Lisa Spencer; twelve great grandchildren, Madelyn, Annabelle, Olivia, Jennifer, Macie, Morgan, Noah, Claire, Elsah, Jesse, Gina and Corissa and her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one granddaughter, Laura Graham and five brothers and sisters, Grover C. Skelton, Ellen L. Weaver, Russell W. Skelton, Tyrus T. Skelton and Margaret D. Boutwell.
Burial will be private at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
