Harriette Hope Bartlett, 70, died at 2:40 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the past several years.
She was born in Bloomington on July 24, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Harold & Naomi (Walker) Hall.
Hope was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, whose passions were farm life, country music and her beloved dogs.
She married Bruce Bartlett on May 8, 1962 in Mt. Carmel, Il., and they have shared 50 years together working on their farm and raising their three children.
Surviving are her husband, Bruce of Dow; two sons & daughters in law, Mark & Karen Bartlett of Florissant, Mo., Eric & Carmen Bartlett of Dow; a daughter & son in law, Deanna "Dee" & Steve Lynch of Shipman; five grandchildren; two brothers & sisters in law, Jack & Jackie Hall of Ardmore, Tn., and Shawn & Janet Hall of Bloomington; a brother in law, Edward Fiscus of St. Joseph, Il.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Shannon Marie Bartlett; and a sister, Jill Fiscus.
Private visitation and funeral services were conducted Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville with Father William Hembrow officiating.
Burial took place in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be given to the 5A's Animal Shelter in Alton in care of the funeral home.
