Harold A. Franke, 82, of Bethalto, passed away at 4:54 pm on Sunday, September 30, 2018.
He was born on August 10, 1936, in Worden, IL, the son of Alvin William and Millicent K. (Drake) Franke, both preceded him in death. He married Joanne M. Marr on October 3, 1954 in Carnett, Mississippi, she preceded him in death on March 31, 2012.
Harold was an over the road truck driver for Time DC for a long period of time, then worked for and retired from ABF Trucklines. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Prairietown and a member of Teamsters 600. He loved his family, dogs, golf cart and his grandchildren.
He is survived by two children, Donald Franke and his fiancé, Haylee Eubanks of Bethalto and Dennis Franke of Bethalto; his companion, Edna Fisher of Bethalto; two grandchildren, Alexa Franke and Kaden Franke; and a sister, Ruth Ann (Bob) Brakehane of Holiday Shores.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 11 am on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Graveside services will follow at 11:15 am at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
